Dr. Avijit BansalAvijit Bansal is a Stanford India Biodesign fellow 2011. He received his graduate degree in medicine (MBBS) from University College of Medical Sciences, Delhi University and then Post Graduated in Pulmonology and Critical Care (DTCD) from VP Chest Institute, the apex Pulmonology institute in India. Thereafter, he was Senior Resident in a critical care Unit with the Fortis Hospitals, Noida, and then chest specialist at DDU charitable hospital. In 2004, he conceptualized and founded PAHAL (People for Action in Health Awareness and Learning) - an NGO started to leverage student action through a unique awareness based model for improving community health.
Ayesha Chaudhary, PhDAyesha is a Stanford India Biodesign fellow 2011. She received her Doctoral degree in Biomedical Engineering from IIT Bombay, where she developed nanoengineered implantable glucose biosensors, and was awarded ‘Gargi Vishnoi Memorial award’ for best Ph.D. thesis. She received her Masters in Biotechnology from Banaras Hindu University, where she was awarded BHU Gold Medal, by the Honorable President of India. She has authored multiple research articles in international peer review journals, magazines and holds several patent applications. Ayesha is enthusiastic about playing badminton & table tennis, painting, reading biographies, teaching and traveling to new places.
